Context: Clinical trial outcomes on the use of “Stereotactic Ablative Fractionated radiotherapy” versus Radiosurgery to treat multiple lung tumours.

The multicenter phase 2 trial enrolled 90 patients across 13 centres, who were randomised to receive single or multiple fraction radiotherapy (SABR) to treat lung oligometastases. Trial Chair A/Prof Shankar Siva of Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre led the trial in Australia and New Zealand and presented the trial outcomes at The European SocieTy for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) in 2021.
