Client: Workforce Plus
Context: Workforce Plus fosters innovative solutions to complex issues faced by communities, with a key focus on the transition of young people, particularly disadvantaged young people, into sustainable employment.
Workforce Plus assembled a team of designers, developers and video producers to develop a Work Experience Virtual Reality (VR) game prototype – Work Pl►ys – to support young people at risk of long-term unemployment engage with the disability services sector as a potential pathway into work.
The game was designed and developed in partnership with young people, the creative arts and the disability sector. It is built from the perspective of the young person in work experience, as seen through the eye of the camera. Embedded in the scenarios are short game play experiences that focus the participant on risks and opportunities in working in the disability services sector: a “Welcome to Work Experience”, “Cooking for dinner”, “Going Shopping” and “Final Reflections”.
Crealo was involved in the user interface design and other graphic assets, as well as in the design of keynote presentations throughout the project.
